Manzone, Cento Anni Riserva 2009

It's not easy to imagine the hills of Monforte d'Alba at the beginning of the 20th century. Back then, the vineyards were half the size they are today, the woods were thicker, and fields of wheat and corn stretched everywhere. In the summer, among those golden patches, men and women marked the land with their labor, coming from crowded villages, hidden among hard-to-reach hills and connected only by dusty roads.
